InstallSHield AdminStudio: An unknown error occurred

Hi all,

I have a strange error when repackaging with AdminStudio:
Repackager worked fine and has a lot of Files (500) and Registry entries (8) captured.
Everything looks ok, but when I hit "build" I get the following build log:
Starting conversion
Creating Developer project: C:\Packages\KfW\KfW Anwendungen.ism
Reading repackager output file
Loading registry entries
An unknown error occurred
Conversion completed with 0 warning(s).
Output file:

and as we forgot to buy support (just got a maintenance contract) I'm at a loss...
(Buying support now, but that takes time)

Anyone??

Export the registry settings to a .reg file and post the content here.

Unfortunately I just flattened the machine... and I don't seem able to export the keys from the irp.
BUT I found a very, very strange looking Key with a TON of special characters as a value.
I'll double check that one...

Sometimes null values generate incompatible characters, so when you try to compile the MSI it doesn't know how to handle them, thus generating an "Unknown error".
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
