InstallShield Silent install with kixtart. Problem in User Profile?
We are pushing out a silent install of CaseSoft CaseMap software through a kixtart script. The silent install works fine on a new user. We are using roaming profiles and any existing user will have trouble with the install.
When an existing user logs in the script executes fine and the install process starts. all looks good. The problem comes in when the software install occurs and then the product is immediatly removed by the same install process that called it. The only remains are some empty temp directories in the local settings\temp directory. The installer always returns System Code 0 and the setup.log file is nowhere to be found.
We think it is associated with something in HKCU that is in the users roaming profile. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Any suggestions? Thanks! Our install string is below as called by the script.
\\fp01\sli$\CaseSoft\CaseMap\SpecialCM46.exe /s /f1"\\fp01\sli\CaseSoft\CaseMap\setupxp.iss" /f2"%userprofile%\local settings\temp\casemapsetup.log"
