ISSETUPDRIVEN=1

I have a msi file extracted from the setup.exe. When I run the msi file, I got the error "This installation cannot be run directly launching the MSI package. You must run setup.exe". Hence I passed the parameter ISSETUPDRIVEN=1 during installation to get rid of this error.

But, if I open the AddRemovePrograms and tried to repair the application, I get the same error. Is there any way I can correct this without making any changes to the msi and without creating a transform? I can just use commandline parameter.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Come on! Think about your question! What other ways are there to alter MSI properties?

Also, this forum is for errors returned by the Windows Installer engine (see the link above, 'MSI Errors', for examples). You should have posted this in 'Package Development'. A moderator may move it.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
