Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_08.msi
when installing the above msi i recieve this message from the client machine; java (tm) update (1.42_08-bo3) cannot be installed on this machine because the java (tm) vertual machine is currently running, can anyone help me to get round this problem?

Perhaps a version of java is installed already. Have you checked your Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel ot make sure Java isn't already installed?

yes java is already installed, we are upgrading form the window default java runtime, customer requirements.
