Java 7 Update 40 - disabling Java Mission Control

As many of you will have noticed, as part of Update 40, Java Mission Control is installed on the endpoint by default. I've looked on the net for a way of disabling this but I've so far been unable to find anything. Has anyone found a method to simply install the RE without JMC or are people simply removing Start Menu folder so that the end users never notices an additional application has been installed with JRE?
