K1000 managed install are failing to deploy

I created a K1000 managed install of Google Chrome, but it is failing to deploy to the KACE\downloads folder and install.
The managed install displays under the "Managed Installation Lists" as
"Google Chrome 59.x : Execute anytime (next available)" and the  within the Managed Installation Tasks
as "Not Installed (0 of 3 attempts)", but the status does not change.  How can I troubleshoot this process?

  • So I'm going to ask the obvious questions, sorry. Is the target machine selected as the target directly or at n a selected label? Is the operating system version on the target machine highlighted in the managed installation? - Hobbsy 7 years ago
  • Thanks for the comment. The install was applied 1st with a smart device label, that the target machine assumed OK. Yes, the OS was associated with the uploaded file. I did use the "Cataloged Software" selection. - Duane 7 years ago
  • I also tried adding the machine directly to the install, so for unsuccessful. - Duane 7 years ago
  • Are you getting your parameters right ??
Are you using an exe or MSI.
I would suggest using the enterprise package

  • Did the machine check into inventory or did you click the Run Now button? - chucksteel 7 years ago
  • Thank you. I want to update this thread to resolved. First, the machines inventoried - no problem. I changed my deployment package to an .msi; and that now works. Part of my original issue was trying to use the catalog to associate the install file; like KACE says it should now be able to do. - Duane 7 years ago
