Linking MSIs
Hi,
I am working on SOLIDWORKS software. This package has different component msi's and I want to make on big MSI using these components.Can anyone help me on how to link these msi's to create one final MSI for network deployment? I use windows installer for deployment.

You can embed MSIs into one large MSI by putting the install strings as custom actions in the user interface sequence. Wise also has an article on embeding MSIs but I never really gave it a proper try. I've had a peer try the Wise article saying it does not always work but that kind of feedback is not all that helpful. If the component MSIs have no custom actions you could convert the components to merge modules then build one giant MSI.
