Location for MSI packages

Ok thus far Iv always put all our MSI packages in a single shared folder thats linked to from a Dfs now Im thinking that it might be better to put the MSI packages is the policy folder so they are stored on the domain controllers.

Where are you storing the MSI packages for your GPO's?
