Hi,

I have created msi package for Cisco Aironet Client.

Installed the msi is fine and the software works OK.

But if I unistall the software then reboot the laptop, it comes with Lsass.exe application error.
can not login, the only way is re-image the laptop.

Can anyone help please !!!![:(]

Without seeing the package itself, it would be very difficult! Like finding a needle in a haystack.

Unfortunately, it would seem that the file upload feature is disabled.

I'll mail you, so that if you get desperate you can send me a "wsi" (if using Wise) or an "msi" without any files (cabs outside, uncompressed files, or admin image). I'll take a quick look, but I can't promise anything.

I had the exact same error with another program. Search your entire Wsi for references to vbscript.dll, and msvbm60.dll in the registry and delete. Be sure to back up for Wsi before to you try this.

Hope this helps.

Old news maybe!

The Cisco Aironet installation change youre GINA to another one from Cisco.
and the when u uninstall youre MSI it removes th line in the registry.

And the when u restart youre computer the process Lsass.exe cannot start any Gina!!

U need to write a CutomAction to change it back to the original.

A backup is made to this path:
HKLM/software/Cisco arionet/Cscogina
[OldGinaDLL]msgina.dll

Cisco Aironet change the value in
HKLM/software/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/Winlogon
[GinaDLL]cscogina.dll
Change it back to [OldGinaDLL]***** during uninstall
