Lync 2013 x86 - SCCM 2012 r2
We are a Windows 7 Ent 64 bit environment
We are running MS Office 2010 x86 only
The download of Lync 2013 from eOpen website has both x86 / x64
I deleted the x64 folder installation, then ran just the setup file from the x86 folder just to see it install.
The Lync Client installed a Okay
Then I uninstalled Lync 2013
Next ran setup.exe /admin to run the OCT 2013 tool
Setup for a silent install and I added the registry keys to prevent the initial popup for updates and placed the MSP file in the updates folder.
Then when I run setup.exe with or without specifying the MSP file it will show that MS Lync2013 is installed in the Add/Removed Programs but the Lync Client is not installed. There is a Lync folder under both program files directories but no Lync client files.
Does anyone have any suggestions I am completely stuck this simply does not make sense

It may be relevant to Lync 2013.....I used the below link to uninstall Skype for Business ProPlus 2016 in silent mode, using the original install source:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc178956(v=office.15).aspx#BKMK_uninstall
create the 'SilentUninstallConfig.xml' in the 'proplus.ww' folder & run the following command:
setup.exe /uninstall ProPlus /config %~dp0\proplus.ww\SilentUninstallConfig.xml
I have done this in a few places and found NOT using the MSP was the answer, but using the config.xml. Then make sure those keys are set in a GPO or AppSense etc - Badger 10 years ago
