Microsoft Group Policy Upgrade Question

I have pushed out Acrobat 7.0 with Group Policy to all computers.
Now I want to Upgrade Everyone to 7.05 So I made a New Application to push out with Group Policies, telling GP that it is an upgrade to Acrobat 7.0 and to uninstall 7.0 first.

Once everyone is upgraded can I safely delete the acrobay 7.0 Application from the Policy?

I need to do the same thing with Java and Citrix installs once I get this one working..
