Microsoft Office 2007
Hello all,
I am fairly new to all of this, so I was looking for some advice. I work for a university that uses zenworks for their imaging and to some extent app deployment. My boss has set me with the task with packaging Microsoft Office 2007 for deploy. However, I have a few issues. First, Microsoft Office 2003 was installed not by zen, so I can not simply unistall the product via Zenworks. For software repacking we have an evaluation version of AdminStudio. I have tried several different things without any luck. I have tried to create an MSI unistall for the 2003, which did not work. I tried to simply package the product as an upgrade, since all of the users on campus have 2003. While I was able to create an uninstall package that did not work, I have had terrible luck trying to package up using the second method. For Microsoft Office 2007 according to Microsoft, it MUST be run using the setup.exe. I have began to wonder if I am trying to do the impossible, and I have been searching looking for others trying to do the same thing, but I have had no luck. Knowing that I am a novice with Zen as well AdminStudio, I am looking for some advice or atleast trying to figure out if this is even a possibility. Any advice anyone could provide would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
-Asuka07

Hi,
if you are trying to deploy Office 2007, then forget uninstalling Office 2003. Coz there is a feature in Office 2007 which will automatically removes the previous versions of Office applications. In your case if you upgrade to Office 2007, the installation will automatically uninstalls Office 2003.
You don't have to use third party tools to customize Office 2007 as Office Customization Tool is included in Office 2007 setup by deafault.
If you need further information please contact me eshwar.mca@gmail.com i'd be more than happy to assist you.
Sorry if this reply is already late
