Microsoft SQL Server 2008-Silent Installation issue.

Hi

I am working with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and i am not able to install this application silently, i have tried different ways and i am unable to install the application silently.

I have tried with the below command line using the configuration file but still i am getting the error.

Command Line - "SQLManagementStudio_x64_ENU.exe /Q /CONFIGURATIONFILE="C:\Server2008\ConfigurationFile.ini" /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS"

Error - "The application (Microsoft SQL Server 2008, from vendor Microsoft) has the following problem: After SQL Server Setup completes, you must apply SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or a later service pack before you run SQL Server 2008 on this version of Windows".

Note:- If i install the application manually i am able to install the application without any error.

Please help in this issue.

Thanks in Advance.

Extract the MSIs and use those with transforms. You'll need to install them in the correct order but it's simple enough to determine that by examining the log that the EXE install creates.

Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 should be installed.

Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
