Yes, there is MSI Wizard from On Technology, it costs about 25 Euro's, that's rather cheap.

thx for getting back to me but it doesn't look like ON supply this as a standalone product [:(] it appears to be part of ON Command CCM.

I forgot 1 really important one, how about Orca? it is free, it is from Microsoft, it is downloadable, anything else?

For ORCA you need to be pretty familiar with the internals of MSI to get very far. What is it you want to do with the MST? Depending upon what you are trying to do, the MS Office Custom Installation Wizard (CIW) may get the job done for you. You can just ignore the Office-specific parts of the wizard and you will get a workable MST in the end. From there, if you needed to make edits, ORCA would be a suitable editor for the job.

I have tried Orca before but it isn't the easiest thing to use and I have used the Office MST tool but I found that gave me varying results.

Basically my company uses Tivoli for its S/W dist and I want to be able to use MSI's with custom Transforms to do the installs where possible as repackaging an MSI application in Tivoli's native format can have varying results (mostly bad [;)] )

Now I used Wise for Windows Installer on a previous contract and found it's MST creation tool ideal but it is expensive. The thing is there are other people on the team with less packaging experience than I and I want something they can pick up and use quite easily that gives consistent results as we have a high through put of apps [&:]
