Sorry got confused with Moron with an Oxy.
Its actually a tautology
n 1: (in logic) a statement that is necessarily true; "the statement `he is brave or he is not brave' is a tautology" 2: useless repetition; "to say that something is `adequate enough' is a tautology"
hence blacknigga is a tautology because both parts of the name mean the same as each other. Useless repetition

Hi all
I am trying to repackage Adobe Illustrator 9 using Adminstudio Repackager. The installation that I have been provided currently runs on w2k and I need to repackage for XP. The current installation is a setup.exe with a setup.iss (serial number etc....). I have repackaged the installation with these commands and have created an MSI successfully. However when I go to install I get file protection errors (1931), I also get error (1406) could not write value to key, error (1402) could not open key. It's all bad basically....
There are no articles specifically for this version of software do I thought i'd use the forums.
I am fairly new to packaging, but it's exciting stuff isn't it [;)]
Please help

I have managed to pkg Illustrator 9 now using Snapshot as opposed to Installation monitoring. This has now worked and has installed. However when I launch the app it now prompts for Adobe Registration. I now need to remove this from the install. Will I be able to edit the registry of my MSI using AdminStudio Editor. I am still trying to grasp on where these modifications need to be made. Could you please advise?

ricaldo,
It sounds like you are missing Illustrator's registry entries from [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall I just revisited my Illustrator 9 package to see if I included them, and I did.
Check to see if your exclusion list removed any keys in this path from your package. If they are not there, you will see the behavior you described when you start Illustrator.
