Need silent uninstall switch Logitech Webcam Software

Hi,
I am trying to uninstall Logitech Webcam Software version 2.0
The uninstall string mentioned in the registry is
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\LogiShrd\Installer\{D40EB009-0499-459c-A8AF-C9C110766215}\setup.exe" /lang=ENU
/guid="{D40EB009-0499-459c-A8AF-C9C110766215}"
I need to uninstall all components using a silent switch.
Could anyone help me out please.

Hi there aditisial.

First off, 3 posts aint realy needed ;)
Secondly, Its probably better to post these questions straight under Packet Development

Now for the uninstall.

Did you try to use a simple /s switch? :)

Hi Eirik,

I tried using /S switch as well.In this case I see the Setup.exe in the Task Manager for a minute or so but it does not uninstall anything.
So I need to try something else to make it a silent uninstall.

Hmm.

If you do "setup.exe /?" you should see some switches for it, maby a /yes or so that forces it to say yes to all questions, since it probably just starts the uninstall but since noone says yes to the questions, it just quits.

I tried that ways also. Setup.exe /? but it simply shows the Uninstall screen for a second and then disappears.
The files are not uninstalled.
Also when I check the ARP, the application entry is gone.
The strange part is that doing this way deletes the complete Uninstall hive in HKLM\Softwware\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Uninstall :(

Might be some bugg in the setup system then.
Another thing, logitech usualy use a exe to hide theire msi, so in theory, you should be able to just do: "msiexec /qn /x{D40EB009-0499-459c-A8AF-C9C110766215}" to uninstall it :)

This does not work:

msiexec /qn /x{D40EB009-0499-459c-A8AF-C9C110766215}

The log in the %Temp% folder reads

MainEngineThread is returning 1605

Downloaded the software now and installed it to see, seems the logitech setup is quite.... bugged.. hehe.. it seems to delete the regsitry entry but not the files (removing the registry string = msiexec giving you the 1605 error, wich means it can only remove installed software.

On my lab pc, it seems to actualy have removed my whole uninstall key.. Realy strange software :-s
