Network Printer
All our printers are networked, but the drivers are installed locally, and then specific ports are connected to various networked printers.
Currently to install printer drivers, I have been using the rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry command.
This works well other than the fact that we use tivoli as our deployment tool and it has a problem running this command as a custom action, and so I have to add the script to the 'runonce' key.
I've since seen the posts that adivse using the DIFxApp.msm file to control the installation.
However I have tried this and it does not install the drivers.
My question is : does this method only work with USB printers? Or should it work in our environment here and I've not used the DIFx method correctly?
