new to all this, got question about repackaging
I'm new to all this so all spelling and grammatical errors as well as being a general dumbass are all intentional [:D]
I've read some of the FAQs on here regarding repackaging. I was wondering if there was a repackager that had a feature where you would launch the repackager and point it to an application installer; then it would launch the installer and simulate the installation where you would get all the normal prompts for where/when/what to install and you basically are manually doing the install while the repackager tracks what you selects for all the options and creates a silent install or some sort of one click install with a progress indicator.
since most apps dont have switches, I was wondering if there was a repackager that could give it switch type options...as opposed to capturing
please advise..TIA!

You are looking for a "silent" install with no user intervention but with the "intended" options selected for the user by "yourself"? This can be many things so lets go to the beginning and start there.
Ok first of all....lets get some basics covered.
1. How are you intending to deploy this....AD GPO, Altiris,SMS or other....ie...User clicks on network shared shorcut and installs app.
2. Are you in a position to repackage this as MSI, SMS, Tivoli etc.
3. What is the actual app....cause believe it or not..this make a difference and depending on the app itself will define what help you need.
