hello from france,

Please can you tell me how i can config ODBC with Wise installer 4.2

is there a option in wise or i have to made a custom action

What you should really do is upgrade to Wise 4.62. I think it's free from 4.2.

In 4.62 there is a whole ODBC section in Installation Expert. Much easier.

There's an ODBC section in Wise Installer Professional 4.21 as well (at least there is in my copy!!). Anyway you could always add the appropriate keys directly into the registry.

Quick note:

Remember that if you're using an older ODBC driver, you MAY have to edit the ODBC.ini file...

Hello,
i have try for the first time the ODBC section in wise installer 4.2 . it is very easy !!! i have add the DBQ from my file *.mdb with the MS Access Database and now my program is OK.

The ODBC section in Wise seems to work now for a limited amount of entries, it didnt work properly before at all.

I still use the registry method because after about 40 entries the ODBC method isn't 100% reliable.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
