Office 2003 WITH SP1
I'm about to deploy Office 2003 but don't want to have to then revist and upgrade all the installations with Office 2003 SP1. How do I modify the package to include SP1?

I have found the following Solution and Used it for my deploy:
Howto build an administrative Image:
Copy and uncompress the Office2003-CD to harddisk: "setup /a MSINODISABLEMEDIA=1" (You will be asked for your Key)
Do this for ALL Setup.exe on the CD always into the same Folder.
patch the Files with the following command: "msiexec /p <path>\MAINSP1ff.msp /a <MSI-File> SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE /qb /L* <Logfilename>"
Do this again for all MSI-Files in the generated Folder
There is a seperate Patch for OWC11.MSI:
"msiexec /p <path>\OWC11SP1ff.msp /a <MSI-File> SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE /qb /L* <Logfilename>"
CAUTION
The Patched Files now contain SP1 but also Your CDKEY!
Setup will not ask for a CDKEY anymore!

Just to add to GMdeploy's comments. Im not sure how your planning to then install SP1 to your desktops but you can use the following command to perform a reinstall which updates the instalaltion:
setupstd.exe REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=VOMU /qb
put setuppro.exe for Professional
Lao check out this link if you wanat to only updated components which are changed in the SP1 patch which minimizes upgrade and installation time:

Cheers!
