Office VISIO 2003 - Product Key in MST or SETUP.INI File
Hallo Everybody,
i have to make an automatic Installation of Office VISIO 2003.
First i tried to make an MST-File to install Visio over the original MSI-File.
But the installation was not successfull started. In the application protokoll i had an entry that call´s "You do not have an correct Product Key for this installation"
At the second step i add a property in the MST-File call PIDKEY and the Value "my Product Key". The installation also abborded with the same entry in the application protokoll like above.
I searched on the Internet to get same information over quiet installation routine for VISIO 2003.
There i found a list of setup command-line options under http://support.microsoft.com/?id=830304 for VISIO 2003.
I tried to make an installation routine with the setup.exe and the setup.ini file.
On the setup.ini file you can put all information in it that controlls the setup routine.
There you set also the PIDKEY Parameter but i don´t know under what kind of [Section] must the PIDKEY Paramater stay or must the PIDKEY Paramater stand after the call .....setup.exe /settings setup.ini PIDKEY="my Product Key" ????
I tried it in several ways to start the installation and the result was the same in the application protokoll like above.
At the moment i have no idea how can i make an automatic installation for VISIO 2003 ???
Have anybody an idea ???????
Thanks

If you are trying to make a silent installation with an MST I would recommend using Microsoft's ORK (Office Resource Kit) Download Here
The ORK will help you make an MST that will be happier with the Visio MSI.

Hallo Garrett,
i also have tried to to the silent installation over the ORK.
I have made an MST-File with the wizard.
When the installation starts a view seconds later i have also an entry in the application protokoll called "to install visio 2003 you must have an enterprice edition software".
So the only change i think is to install over the setup.exe with parameters.....
Thanks for your help
