open a file using wordpad at the end of installation
Hi,
I'm learning how to use wise and for my first assignment I need to repackage .exe file and customize it.
The customization:
First, I need to customize the dialog box. (i did this one using wise script editor and dialogs on the installation expert tab)
Second, after the package finish installing the files, it need to open a file using wordpad (only after the user click finish button) so I created a file xxx.rtf and include it in my project.
The problem:
For the second part, I tried couple of options in wisescripteditor on the setup editor tab like "execute programs", display text file, display message but so far I can only open the wordpad and not the actual file. When I check on the directory where the file should be installed, the file is not there. Whats wrong?
In addition, the file extension is WSE (wise script) so I convert it to .msi using Legacy Setup Conversion but when i tried to run it, all of my customization dissapeared (the dialog boxes that I customized). So what should I do?
Thank you.[:)]
