Opened application during installation
Hi,
I'm updating Livelink from 4.8.1 to 4.8.3 and during the upgrade process, this windows appears :
If I install silently (/qn), the default is "Automatically close application..." and user are losing the desktop since Windows Explorer is killed. Is there a Windows Installer switch to select "Do not close apps" option ?

How did you solve this after all? I have the same issue with OpenText Enterprise Connect Framework. I deleted the CheckProcessesRunning, but this did not solve the problem. - Ent€r 11 years ago

Crappy weather... :( Rainy all weekend.
We are using SCCM. Yeah, its terrible. Because SCCM is running with SYSTEM Account, explorer can't be restarted. But we find a way to execute explorer.exe.
We create a new program that execute explorer.exe and we run it "Only when a user is logged on" and it works!
Have a nice weekend T K
If you want a good brew, dieuduciel dot com :)
