Oracle 10.1 Client destination drive problem
Hi, I need advice here.
I am no expert with Wise, am learning the hard way.
With Oracle 10g, client, i am trying to create an MSI package. I am loosing my hair since two days because i am fighting with wise regarding the destination folder. During package creation, Oracle offers me to install itself in my R drive (recovery hidden partition). I change the drive letter to C Drive. It installs fine, most of the Oracle installs on C drive except about 18 megs on my D drive (Documents and setting drive). This step is during the package creation (capture)
Whatever i am doing, when times comes to install the MSI on a clean wks with all 3 drives. The MSI freaks out and jump on my R drive and installs Oracle there. All the time, no exception. I also try to delete my R drive when creating the package and same results.
I am loosing options here, have no idea where to look now. any clues would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob

By default, Windows Installer will install to teh drive with the greatest amount of free disk space. You can override this by specifying a ROOTDRIVE property, either on the command line or as part of your MSI/MST. Refer here. http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa371372(VS.85).aspx for details.
