Oracle 9i client install

Hi,
I posted previously to a thread about 9i silent install, but our objectives have changed somewhat. I am looking for a method of having the installation progress show to the user as a means of indicating when the installation is complete. I have created a response file and when used with the -SILENT command line parameter, it works fine. However, if I want to show only the install progress by modifying the response file (SHOW_INSTALL_PROGRESS_PAGE=true) and removing the -SILENT from the command line, I get the splash screen, the screen requesting the MTS port number and summary page as well, even though I have all other screens set to false within the response file.
Any ideas on how I can get this to only show the install progress screen? I could post the .RSP file if that would help. Thanks.

Eric

I believe this is a bug in the Oracle installer (it has several bugs, if you'll look under the Packages section for Oracle9i you'll see some other "gotchas")

I've never been able to make it work - is somebody can come up with a way, great!

There are some VB-based progress bars available as shareware, if you want to put the time into that. I ended up putting in a vbscript message that basically said "don't do s*** for about the next 10 minutes!"
