OVAL results deleted by definition update
We've been running our scans at night at around 8 p.m. to reduce the risk of impacting the users. This morning we were surprised to see these results: "No OVAL results currently available. Results are deleted when OVAL definitions are updated. Last update: 2011/02/23 03:25:00am".
According to the K1000 help files: "The K1000 appliance checks for nightly updates to the list of available OVAL definitions." and "Although the definitions for OVAL vulnerabilities are updated automatically on a scheduled basis, you can retrieve the latest files manually from the Server Maintenance page."
I'd like to avoid running the scan after the 3:25 a.m. update because we do have users that come in very early. How can I run the scans in the early evening and prevent the auto deletion of the results should there be an OVAL definitions update?
