"Patch Detection is not enabled for this device".
I have set up patching in K1K, and I have a test system added to a label.
When I check if the system is being patched, I see the above message. I guess this is the reason why no patches are being run on the system.
I have made sure that the OS is correct: Windows 7 X64. I have also just added all versions of Windows 7 into the sub, and I still get the above error.
The version of K1K is 6.4.120822.

Is the test system showing well in the inventory? You enabled patch detection and created a schedule to run on devices (here should also show the correct OS including architecture). Devices will grab this schedule on the next time when inventory is performed and there is when they will appear on the patch detection (or you can force the patch detection and after 10 minutes at least you may force the inventory).
On the other hand, did you make sure the patch signatures are being downloaded?
If none of this works you may want to run the Kapture State utility on the machine and submit a ticket to have the logs review. The Kapture State Utility KB article link is the following:

Hi Ericenri,
Yes, the test system is displayed in inventory under "Devices". I added the system to a test label, and then added that test label to the schedule. Under Patching Detect/Deploy Status in the device detail, I can see the name of the label I used.
Forcing a patch detection does nothing.
Ill run a kapture state, and open a ticket, thanks. - rookiekace 8 years ago
I am not finding how to enable this "Detect" on devices.
I wasn't even in the know you can turn that off. - agrillo 5 years ago
