PcAnywhere 11 via Active Directory
Has anyone got a trick to get this one out via Active Directory as a native MSI?

Hi kkaminsk,
My predecessor packaged it, his doco states that he just removed the following custom actions:
AddDesktopShortcutRB
AddShortcuts
AddShortcutsRB
CreatDesktopShortcut
CreateSilentDesktopShortcut
InstallLiveReg
InstallLiveUpdate
LaunchLiveReg
LaunchLiveUpdate
RemovepcALiveUpdate
RemovepcAShortcuts
RemovepcAShortcutsRB
And it worked fine. I won't guarantee it as he was a bit of a cowboy but its been out there for a while with no complaints from the users so far.

Yeah unfortunately that does not help me out. The MSI cannot be put into active directory because it cannot find the advertising info. So I tried making a MSI wrapper but the MSI does not support UNCs and the EXE wrapper you can make with the deployment kit gets caught by a lockdown policy. I may get to play with ZAP files for the first time!
