please help! silent parameter for setup.exe created by installshield v 6.0
I can't make my package install and uninstall silently.
I tried using setup.exe /? but there wasn't any pop-up for the list of parameters.
I also tried to create a response file (.iss) but it doesn't work.
Here's my package.
Please help me find a silent parameter for install and uninstall.

You could ask the vendor!
and if all else fails here's a tip a very good friend of mine told me recently [:D]
By Using process explorer open the properties of the exe and under the "strings" tab you will find the parameters listed you can use with the exe. They will be in amongst a load of other stuff though so you'll have to do a bit of digging

@Repackman well, I know how to create a response file though. I did anything I know about packaging but still no luck.
@MadForMsi you don't need an account to DL this file, anyway, sure next time I'll use SENDUIT. :)
Thanks Everyone! just for update, I still can't make this package install silently.

pjgeutjens,
No. Repackaging is the only option.
The reason why I need to find a silent parameter for this application is because I want this application install via drop and run, meaning I just need to drop the source in a specific directory then call it there so that there will be no user intervention anymore and since there is no silent parameter as of now, I will just repackage this application to make an msi file and then use the silent parameter for msi.
repackaging had a lot of work because of best practices and of cleaning, unlike repackaging, drop and run will just use script (which is made available) to restore, delete registries or files. (no sweat).
:)
