Problem using setACL on root folder
hey there. googeling around to solve my setacl-problem i found this board having some topics about setacl, so I hope there someone in here who can help me....
I try to backup ACLs from d drive. my commandline:
-on "D:\Games" -ot file -actn list -lst "f:sddl;w:d,s,o,g" -rec "cont" -bckp "c:\data.bak"
now the problem: this line works perfectly on
"D:\Games"
D:\Games
and all other subdirectories of d, but using d: itself always causes errors:
SD could not be converted to/from string format:
D:\
The object was not set
"D:\"
rekursion not possible for local fs root, try to apend backslash + SD could not be converted to/from string format:
"D:"
D:
Syntax-error:
file:///d:
even funnier:
c:\
works fine
so why does setacl hate my d drive ? :)
