Put a Condition on a folder

Just a thought... Is it possible to set a condition on a folder to install only if it's not there already?

You don't need to as the folder will only be created if it doesn't exist, right?
During uninstall only the installed files will be removed and if there are files not included in the package then they will be left as-is.

yes you can

use a system search based on a condition
put your folder in a component

use a system search to search for the folder
based on the search if yes then do not install folder
if no then install folder

do a search on google/ appdeploy. lots of info

AngelID : So are you saying that i can include that folder in my MSI & it will not overwrite what's already out there? I am going to test this.

You were right. I didn't have to system search or put any condition. This folder that i am trying to copy has few files & if it's there already my MSI won't override & if it's not there it will simply install. Thanks AngelID i rated your post
