Question about the new MS installation routine (eg. SQL2008)
Hi,
I got the task to package the client version out of the new MS SQL 2008 and actually I modified in every package the shortcuts (company standard) but its a hugh work and finally we will distribute it with the setup.exe and a configuration file. My question is now, why is it now so complicated to modify MS packages? Why they use now 30 MSI packages?
Has someone please some information about this topic? I dont wanna analyse a 3gig SQL package every time
