quicktime & iTunes

Hello all

I've followed the instructions for creating an mst file for quicktime off this website and everything works perfectly, except for one thing. There is a file which creates the settings for whether movie player comes up when you first run Quicktime. I found the file which does this, QTPlayerSession.xml, and have used Macrovision Tuner to add it to the mst file so that it will install on all the computers. However, when I go to test it, the file isn't copied into the profile folder at all. The path I add it to Tuner in is AppData\Apple Computer\Quicktime\QTPlayerSession.xml. Am i getting something wrong here? I also have the same problem with iTunes with the iTunes.pref files that go into their respective folders for each profile.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi northerly,
please go to the following tread: http://itninja.com/question/distribution-message21
and read it carefully. The problem is probably this: You have to set a registry key as the component key to make this work.
