Reboot Problem with McAfee patch3 for VS Enterprise 8.7i
Hi guys,
I have a problem with a McAfee VS Enterprise 8.7i patch (patch3). Contrary to most people I WANT the installer to reboot the system after applying the patch, but my wishes are ignored so far. Maybe you could point me to a valid solution. I tried (via an entry in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce):
C:\Windows\system32\msiexec.exe /p C:\INST2\MCA87P3\Patch3.msp /qb /forcerestart
C:\Windows\system32\msiexec.exe /p C:\INST2\MCA87P3\Patch3.msp /qb /forcerestart REBOOT=Force
In both methods the patch is applied, but the machine is not rebooted - btw the OS is question is W7 Enterprise.
Any ideas ?
