REINSTALL=... + Appsearch
Is there a way I can use the appsearch feature on a re-install?
When I run my .MSI, only the files currently on the machine are replaced (if newer) but if the file didn't exist prior to running the .MSI than they do not get installed.
Is there a way around this other than a custom action?

Is patching not an option?
You could try REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=VOMUS, but if it wasn't included in the original package, I'm not sure the new file will be installed.
