SAP 7.1 services file
Hi Experts,
I am confused about services file that is given to us. What to do with this services file. Do I need to simply copy this services file in a path or do I need to do anything else more than this. My sapgui.msi is ready but what to do with services file. Please help me in this confusion. It is very urgent. If anyone of you have done this application please suggest me what to do with this services file. If you have used any vbscript for this services file please let me know. Its urgent!
Thanks in advance
Ramesh

Try this:

Should be the same as the rest of the SAP installs I guess.

You urgently need to some research on Windows and its support files. This is basic stuff, really.
The instructions in the post seemed pretty clear to me:
"The idea is that during installation you also install a file called "AdditionsToServicesTable" in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\ that holds all the info that you want added to the services file."
Then run the script via a Custom Action.

ORIGINAL: ramesh111kIt wouldn't affect the installation, but as for the application itself, I wouldn't know, I'm afraid. I *imagine* that certain functionality would be absent, though, since it must make additions to that file for a reason...
Without doing anything related to services file, (if no CA is used to do all the stuff for services file) will it effect the installation of SAP GUI 7.10. Please let me know.
