sccm trouble for beginner learning

hi new to sccm “ microsoft config manager” my sccm server is not updating software center properly after having deploying chrome and firefox. i did manually run the policy checks for user policy machine policy and software policy and nothing. this was all done from the sccm server which uses patch my pc. any recommendations?
