Self heal disable
Hi Friends,
Can any1 suggest me a method in which i can disable the self healing methods of a package.
I know about one solution is by removing keypaths of all components and also un-advertising all short-cuts. But there is a certain problem when it comes to add merge modules as they should have key-oaths in order to retain it advertising/ registry informatiom.
Suggest me an alternative method.
Bye.

Wise suggest two methods. One is at http://www.wise.com/kbarticle.aspx?articleno=2123 [Preventing self-repair for a component] and another another at http://www.wise.com/kbarticle.aspx?articleno=1656 [Prevent self-repair by removing advertised entry points]. Not sure if this helps with merge modules - my scnario was a repackaged app that includes a lot of data files which may be be updated later, so clearly I didn't want them to self-repair.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
