Self Healing SVG Viewer
Hello All,
I've been trying to get a setup capture of Adobe SVG Viewer 3.03 to self repair when the file has been deleted. Now I've been through the post on self repair:
Self Healing Documentation
It all works great and I thought I understood the process.
With SVG Viewer there is a call from the iexplore.exe for the NPSVG3.dll when testing this on Adobe site:
http://www.adobe.com/svg/examples.html
I have only one feature and all the advertising information is associated with the component NPSVG3.dll. The Parent Feature is not advertised. I have also ticked the top two boxes in component; Compiler Options about self register keypath and rescan advertising. I also have ActiveSetup enabled in the registry.
I'm using WPS 7.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Wayne

Hi Wayne,
please read this thread: http://itninja.com/question/distribution-message21
This is one of the best stuff i ever found on the self healing process.
Just for short: Do you have a regkey as component key on the Current User Settings? I assume you have them, because you are writing about active setup which is normally used in such scenarios.
This seems an app without shortcut. Do you have an entrypoint for the repair process?
See: http://msdn.microsoft.com/smartclient/default.aspx?pull=/library/en-us/dndotnet/html/wi_integration.asp
