Silent Install without using the response (.iss) file

Hello All,

We are using InstallShield in our environment for packaging. In order to do a silent install I have to use response file (.iss) to keep it silent. Does anyone have a better suggestion, or any other ideas to keep this install silent without using response file in the command line.

Thanks

AK

Unfortunately, that's not the option here for us. We have used the InstallScript, with the vb language in it, and then compiled it to get the setup.exe. Now I am trying to find way to silent this .exe without utilizing that .iss file. If it can be done!!???

Thanks

Can we somehow embed the .iss(response) file into the .ism file then compile it to have a silent install?? Just a wild thought...!!!

Thanks,
AK

If you're building an ism file, you're going to do something with it anyway. I'd suggest making the entire thing into an MSI and incorporating all the needed commands so it installs with a nice QB.
