Silent installation
hi guys
i have an msi application along with it i have some patches( which are .mst )have to be installed through sms the msi application gets installed in the silent mode but the patches pops up it doesnot install in silent mode please let me know how to go about

The MST files should be specified at the time the MSI is installed using the TRANSFORMS property. If you have more than one, separate each MST by a semicolon. Another way to go about this is to create an administrative installation to use as a source for the MSI using the /A switch and also specify the MST files with the TRANSFORMS property. This will create a MSI source for your package with the affects of the MST applied- you can then deploy that MSI as you normally would (without the need to specify the MST again). It really depends upon requirements of the installation, but either way should work.
