Symantec Post-install on Kace2000

On Kace2000, How and what are the commands to silently Deploy Symantec End Point Protection v14, I have an .exe file for the software.

Note: right now, we just double click the .exe file to silent install Symantec on client computer, after deploying the image, we can't Sysprep a system with SEP installed.

  • With all due respect sir, Have you tried googling examples of Symantec silent deployments and it's paramters on the vendor's webiste\forums?

We do not know all silent switches for all the software in existence up to date.

If it's an msi or a .exe , the K2 can install it silently, as long as you provide the parameters.

It appears that YOUR EXE was created to be silent, I didn't know this two minutes ago... since we do not use Symantec here, but a quick Google search made me realize this:
    http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Symantec+End+Point+Protection+silent+install

So that means in theory.... you should just add the .EXE into a an application post install task and that's it.

See the Administrators guide in regards adding post install tasks:

  • If you want to install Symantec in image then use ClientSideClonePrep Tool.exe then sysprep - TimHR 5 years ago
