Tableau 7.0 giving prompt for activation
Hi,
After installation of Tableau 7.0 , it is prompting for "Product activation" and after that "Product Registration". I captured the registry entries while performing the activation and registration. I added the registries to my MSI package but still when I launch the shortcut, it is prompting to activate the product. It is creating 2 keys (Registration and Tableau 7.0)and their subkeys under HKLM\Software\Tableau.
Please suggest me what approach should I take.
Regards,
KK

To add more to the above, When I launch the shortcut, it will display dialog where I am selecting "Activate product". Then it is asking to enter the Product Key and after that it is activating successfully followed by successful Product registration. This is what I had captured and put into my MSI. But it is failing to prevent me from ACTIVATION promt coming again when I launch the shortcut.

Use your favourite light-weight snapshot tool (Installrite, PictureTaker, InControl et al) and snap the activation and registration process again. This is know as performing a 'Gap Capture'.
Compare this to what you have already in your package and incorporate any differences.
Hope that helps,
