This installation cannot be run directly launching the MSI

Does anyone know how I apply a trasform against an MSI package that issues the foolowing error when ran:
"This installation cannot be run directly launching the MSI package. You must run setup.exe"
I found the error in the tables within the Property section of the MSI, but I can't figure out how to disable it in a transofm, so that it won't check to see how the package is installed.

Have you checked to see if there is an msi embedded in the .exe. You could use a free tool called winrar to extract all files.

Most time, the setup.exe starts an .msi with a special Parameter. You just have to find out what this parameter is for your specific Program.
For example, Installshield uses the ISSETUPDRIVEN=1 Parameter
