thomson reuters eikon silent switches

Hi

thomson reuters eikon application having 2 files (TRD8_Excel_WebStart.exe and TRD8_Excel_***Hotfix**.exe). we need to install first webstart.exe then hotfix.exe . after install webstart.exe Installation directory will come c:\programe files\thomson reuters\TRD 6 . While install hotfix.exe it will take backup whole "TRD 6" folder to "TRD 6.bk" . client not required this TRD 6.bk folder . so i want silent switch for suppress to take backup the folder.

Whenusing _silentMode=1, no need to have _sso=0

Supportonly /COMMAND, /ADDCOMMAND is not support on Eikon 4.0

TheEikonInstaller command, user can use only single silent command for freshinstallation. No need to use both /SILENT=1 and _silentMode=1.

Ifyou want to use the Environment variable as the exact value of the parameters(Ex.LOCALCACHEFOLDER="%APPDATA%\Thomson Reuters\Cache\"), you have toput "%%" instead of "%" in your script. Ex.LOCALCACHEFOLDER="%%APPDATA%%\Thomson Reuters\Cache\"). The value inthe configuration file will be "="%APPDATA%\ThomsonReuters\Cache\".

You'll have to contact T.R. if they support such a switch, which I expect is doubtful.  Since you're running two executables, make a wrapper the run both of them and add a third command that deletes the .BK folder.
