Unattended installing and using both Project 2000 and Project 2002 on one machine.
I need to install Project 2000 and Project 2002 on the same machine. I have a MSI-package i can install unattended and silent with enteo NetInstall. (The Installation runs with a admin account)
Now I need to install Project 2002 on this machine without overwriting/upgrading the 2000 version of Project so the user can use both versions of Project.
When I start the installation of project 2002 on a machine that has Project 2000 installed the setup GUI of Project 2002 lets me choose how the existing Project 2000 should be treated. (deinstall 2000 or add 2002)
In the custom installation wizzard no such option is given.
How must I modify the MST/MSI file of Project 2002 so both Versions of Project are installed silent and can coexist and be used on one machine.

You could try the following :
On a machine that already has Project 2000 installed, first, enable verbose logging - see the following link for details, if you need advice (apologies if you already know this) :
[link]http://itninja.com/question/wpsclient---silent-install7&mpage=1&key=verbose%2Cloggingѧ[/link]
Next, run the setup of Project 2002 through the setup GUI and choose to remove Project 2000 when prompted. This should have created a verbose log file in the %TMP% folder.
On another machine, also with Project 2000 already installed, enable verbose logging again and run the setup of Project 2002 through the setup GUI and choose to retain Project 2000 when prompted. This should have created a verbose log file in the %TMP% folder.
Now,compare the two log files, specifically have a look at the listing of Property values at the each log files noting any differences. There may be one or more properties that are set differently when you wish to retain Project 2000 as opposed to removing it.
Once you know the property/properties involved, you can manually edit them into the customisation wizard transform you produced earlier (using ORCA, or similar tool).
Hope this might help,
Spartacus

We have a Winner!!! Thank you Spartacus!!!
Your tip helped me to succeed. Although the file comparision was quite difficult as the time is loged in almost every line of the log and is different of course in the two files I matched to detect the property I was looking for.
The property needed is:
REMOVEALLPREVIOUS
The default is all. If the Value is changed to keep Project 2002 is installaed allong with Project 2000.
