USB ports disabled
After deploying Windows 7 x64 to a Dell OptiPlex 7040 and updating the USB drivers to USB 3 it disables the USB ports in Windows. Outside of WIndows they work fine. Installed the drivers from the driver pack for 7040 optiplex.

hi, I don't know if this is your case but there was an issue with Intel USB 3.0 driver naming where they named 2 different drivers with the same name. It happened to me that I installed what I thought was the correct driver but it wasn't. Try to uninstall the drivers you have now, download the ones in the dell support webpage and install those. Maybe that fixes the issue. - Glaporte 8 years ago
