ViewSonic Monitor Driver Silent install
Hi,
I am trying to install ViewSonic Monitor driver silently. Initially i used DifxApp to install drivers, but i have a cat file entry which is not captured in the sanpshot.
I'm thinking of using Devcon or rundll.
Has anyone tried to package this driver...?
Regards,
Charan

Hardware drivers isn't that hard if the .INF file is proper configured by default that is ;)
Install or try to extract the original setup and see if you can find the (I guess) .inf, .cat, .dll, .sys files. Then create your own MSI package from scratch by just adding these file, import the DIFxApp.msm and set the .inf file as keypath of its component. Make sure the .cat is proper signed or re-sign it.

Hi All,
Thanks for the response.
I have repackaged driver files before, so i'm conversant with DifxApp and how to use it.
Apart from DifxApp, are there any other ways to silently install an ".inf" file.
I have used Rundll for printui.dll but for monitor, are there any specific dll to pass as argument to rundll..?
