What approach should I do when upgrading a package installed by a legacy installer using newly build MSI Installer?

Hello, All.

There's a legacy application deployed in production and there's quarterly upgrade for that.

The Upgrade source binaries is now available for this quarter. But before this package is going to deploy it must be converted into MSI. So moving forward all quarterly upgrades for this application will handled by Windows Installer.

How should I handle this scenario? No uninstallation of legacy is required only on top of it.

Your comments and suggestions are appreciated

Write an MSI installer for the first deployment of binaries and thereafter write a major upgrade.
