What's the Target Platform when packageing device drivers for 64 bit Win7?

Hi,

I am using Wise Packaging Studio 8 to package a device driver for 64 bit Win7. I have set "Template Summary" to "x64;1033".  When I add a feature, in the Target Platform drop down box, I cannot tell the difference between "64 Bit Processors" and "X64 Only". Can anyone please tell me which option should I select? Thanks in advance!

  • Hi,
Thanks for all your help. I just used "All Processors" and the driver worked fine on 64 bit Win7 and does not install on 32 bit Win7. Thanks again. - nbafifa02 10 years ago

In your case, it is not necessary to select particular target platform in feature details.. you can go with the default option which is "All Processors"

Template summary in "Summary information" is important..
